Privacy Policy
Welcome to TuttiCam (the “App”). The App is developed and operated by TuttiCam (“we” or “us”). It enables multiple devices to take synchronized photos at the same moment when they are still, preparing photos and capture data for 3D reconstruction, such as 3D Gaussian Splatting. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information the App processes on your device, why it processes it, where it is stored, and your rights. Please read it carefully before using the App.
At a glance
- All computation takes place on your devices, including stillness detection, device clock synchronization, photo processing, and route estimation.
- The App has no accounts or servers. It uses no cloud computing or online services and includes no third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics, or crash collection.
- We do not collect, receive, or store any of your personal information.
- Data is transmitted only between devices that you have agreed to join in the same capture session and external cameras you connect. Transmission is limited to the local network and Bluetooth, without passing through the internet. Photos are not transmitted between devices.
- Location is optional: the capture location is written to photos on your device only if you allow location access and enable “Write GPS to photos”.
- Apple handles in-app purchases. We do not receive your payment information.
Scope
This policy applies to the TuttiCam iOS app and the local files it generates. After you send files to another app or service through the system share sheet, the recipient’s privacy policy governs how those files are handled.
What information the App processes and why
The following information is generated and processed on your devices. We cannot access it.
1. Captured photos and capture data
- Photos (JPEG or HEIC, optionally saved with RAW files): for your subsequent 3D reconstruction.
- A data file accompanying each photo: capture set number, device number, device name, model, capture time, exposure parameters, lens and focus information, blur estimate, gravity direction at capture, and other data used to align photos from multiple devices and assess image quality.
- Route files: a top-down route and the capture position of each photo set, estimated from motion sensors (relative positions, without geographic coordinates). These are for reference only.
- When “Write gyroscope orientation to metadata” is enabled (off by default), the phone’s orientation at the moment of capture is written to the photo.
2. Saving to the Photos app (optional)
- The App saves an additional copy of captured photos to the system Photos app only when you grant permission to add photos and enable “Also save to Photos”.
- The App requests add-only access. It cannot read, modify, or delete any photos in your library.
3. Capture location (optional)
- Only when you allow location access “While Using the App” and enable “Write GPS to photos” does the App obtain location during capture. It writes latitude, longitude, altitude, location accuracy, and location time to the GPS information of photos on your device, in the system camera’s standard format, so reconstruction tools can align geographic positions.
- Location is written only to photos on your device. It is neither uploaded nor sent to other devices in the same session. Each device writes location only if location access has been allowed on that device.
- If you deny location access or turn off this setting, photos contain no location information. Please be aware that location information is shared with photos when you share them.
4. Motion sensor data
- The accelerometer and gyroscope are used to detect stillness, determine photo orientation, and estimate capture routes. Data is computed in real time on the device; only the computed results are written to the files described above.
5. Information transmitted during multi-device coordination
- The App uses the local network (Wi-Fi and direct peer-to-peer Wi-Fi between devices) to discover and connect to nearby devices running the App.
- Before joining a particular host for the first time, the App asks for your confirmation and connects only after you agree. Approved hosts are remembered locally, so you are not asked again when rejoining them.
- After you join, the host can trigger your device’s shutter and change its capture settings. Devices exchange device names, models and system versions, available lenses, capture settings, capture commands and scheduled times, clock synchronization data, device status (stillness, battery level, remaining storage, thermal state, camera state, and the name, battery level, and remaining shot count of a connected external camera), results for each capture set (file names and timing offsets), and scene names.
- Photos themselves and location are not transmitted between devices. Each device stores its photos only on that device.
- When acting as a host, the App advertises the capture session on the local network under your device name. Devices on the same network can see this name.
6. External cameras (Bluetooth)
- The App uses Bluetooth only when you enable external camera connections or have previously paired a camera.
- Acting as a Bluetooth remote, the App sends pairing, shutter, and status-query commands to the camera and reads its model, battery level, remaining shot count, and operating status.
- Camera pairing uses a randomly generated remote name and identifier, not your device’s actual Bluetooth address. Pairing information is stored only on your device.
7. Device information and local settings
- A device name is randomly generated by default (for example, “iPhone-1A2B”) and can be changed. It is visible to other devices in the same session. We recommend avoiding real names or other sensitive information.
- The model identifier, system version, battery level, remaining storage, and thermal state are used for session display and capture scheduling.
- Capture settings, the device name, approved hosts, external camera names and pairing information, interface state, route step-length calibration, and similar settings are stored locally to restore them the next time you open the App.
8. In-app purchases
- Pro subscriptions and “Buy the developer a coffee” are purchased through Apple’s App Store in-app purchases. Apple processes payments. We do not receive your name, Apple Account, bank card details, or other payment information.
- The App reads purchase records on your device through Apple’s StoreKit (purchased items, purchase dates, and expiration dates) to determine whether Pro is unlocked. These records are not sent to us.
- Apple provides developers with aggregated sales reports, such as sales volume, revenue, and regions. These do not contain information that identifies you personally.
Device permissions
| Permission | Purpose | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Taking photos | Required for the core functionality |
| Local network | Discovering and connecting to nearby devices for coordinated capture | Optional; without access, only single-device use is available |
| Bluetooth | Connecting external cameras | Optional |
| Photos (add only) | Saving an additional copy of captured photos to Photos | Optional; without access, files are saved only in the App’s folder |
| Location (while using the App) | Writing the capture location to photos | Optional; without access, photos have no location information |
| Motion and fitness sensors | Stillness detection, photo orientation, and route estimation (the system does not require separate authorization) | — |
The App does not request microphone, contacts, photo-library read access, tracking (advertising identifier), or similar permissions. You can revoke the permissions above at any time in iOS Settings. The corresponding features become unavailable, without affecting other features.
What the App does not do
- It does not connect to our servers (we have none), use cloud computing or cloud storage, or provide any online services.
- It does not require registration or login and has no accounts.
- It does not display ads, perform analytics, collect crash logs, or integrate third-party SDKs that collect data.
- It does not track you across apps or websites or use advertising identifiers.
- It does not sell, rent, or share your information, or provide personalized recommendations or automated decision-making.
Information storage
- Storage location: photos and data files are stored in the App’s Documents directory on your device, accessible in Files under “On My iPhone › 齐拍即合”. Settings are kept in the App’s local storage. We have no servers and retain no copies.
- Retention: data is retained until you delete it. Deleting the App also deletes this data.
- System backups: if you enable iCloud Backup or computer backups, iOS may include the App’s files according to your system settings. This is controlled by Apple and your settings and does not pass through us.
Sharing, transfer, and public disclosure
We do not share, transfer, or publicly disclose your information to third parties. Information leaves your device only in the following situations, each initiated by you:
- When you agree to join the same capture session, devices exchange the information listed in section 2, subsection 5.
- When you connect an external camera, the App and camera exchange the information listed in section 2, subsection 6.
- When you share photos or files through the system share sheet, you select the recipient, whose privacy policy applies.
- When you tap an external link in the App, the corresponding website opens in your browser and its privacy policy applies.
Security measures
- All processing is local and does not pass through the internet, reducing the possibility of disclosure at the source.
- Confirmation is required before joining a host for the first time, to help prevent an unknown host from controlling your device.
- Device connections are limited to the local network and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi and do not pass through the internet. Data transmitted over the local network is currently not encrypted. Transmitted data does not include photos or location. We recommend using a trusted network environment.
- Photos and data are stored in the App’s sandbox, protected by iOS app isolation and data protection mechanisms.
Your rights
- View and export: view files in the App’s captured media view or in Files, and export them through the share sheet.
- Delete: delete scene folders in the App or files in Files. Deleting the App clears all its data.
- Correct: change device names and external camera names and numbers at any time.
- Withdraw permission: revoke camera, local network, Bluetooth, Photos, or location access in iOS Settings, or disable “Also save to Photos” or “Write GPS to photos” in the App.
- Close an account: not applicable, as the App has no accounts.
- Because we hold none of your data, we cannot and do not need to retrieve, correct, or delete it on your behalf. If you have questions, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within 15 working days.
Minors
The App is not intended for children under 14. The App itself does not collect personal information. Minors who need to use it should do so under a guardian’s guidance.
Third-party code
The Bluetooth protocols for external cameras reference or are ported from open-source projects and official public documentation (furble, DJI R SDK, and Open GoPro; see the App’s About page). These are local Bluetooth communication code only, without data collection features. The App does not send data to these projects or manufacturers.
Apple platform
If you enable “Share With App Developers” in iOS, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash and usage statistics. Apple processes these according to its privacy policy. You can turn this off in “Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements”.
Updates to this policy
When changes to the App’s features alter how information is processed, we will update this policy and show a new update date on this page. For significant changes, we will also notify you in the App.
